Informal letter - 2018

 You’ve received a letter from your English pen-friend in which he/she accepts your invitation to come and stay with you in Ukraine for a week. Write a letter to your pen-friend and say
  • when the best time to come is and why;
  • what tourist attractions there are in your area;
  • what activities he/she could enjoy during the visit.

Write a letter of at least 100 words. Do not write your own name, any dates, addresses or other personal information. Start your letter in an appropriate way.

Dear John,
       Hello. How are you? I was glad to get your answer. I'm writing to you to let you know when it would be better for you to come and what we are going to do.
       First of all, I have to finish studying. After that I'll travel with my parents for two weeks at the beginning of June. Then I'll try to earn some money for our hospital with my friends. It's our annual tradition. So you may come in July.
       If you like live music, there is a good place for you in our city. Moreover, there are two popular historical land marks which you should visit. Also, we have a science museum. And maybe the most attractive place for tourists is our mount with its breathtaking view. So, you have what to choose from.
        As usual, in July we have a lot of football matches in our city. I hope you like it. In addition, I want you to taste some of our national dishes. On the last day of your visit I want to have a picnic with my friends and with you. I'm sure that it won't be boring for you.
       To sum up, I hope you like my plan. The weather is sunny as usual, but it would be better if you take a sweater. I'm looking forward to your answer.
